What is Fibrin and How Does it Affect my Pain?

Fibrin is an insoluble protein involved in clotting blood. It is formed by the action of protease thrombin on fibrinogen…finally forming mesh or clot over wounds. It becomes hard and dry over each injury.

Pain and Fibrin            

Fibrin is the first response to injury and pain. This is good when you need to stop the bleeding. Unfortunately, excessive fibrin buildup is associated with aches and pains of aging. Arthritis, back pain, knee pain, and neck pain it could all be coming from too much FIBRIN!

Most of us may not realize, but this fibrin response happens all over in our bodies, not just on the skin surface that you can see. How about when you have surgery or you strain your knee or tear a muscle?

All of these are internal fibrin responses. Now, this becomes excess fibrin build up, like scar tissue on the inside, causing you discomfort and pain. This increases as your body ages.

Fibrin Results in Inflammation and Pain
